Nepal - Trekking in Annapurna

Leaving India

Entering Nepal

Pokhera Lake at dusk.

First day in Pokhera

Pokhera lake.

Will and Rotem by the lake.

First day on Annapurna trek. We had to walk due to a fatality on the road which then turned into a village strike. Rotem had a bee follow her for a while (check out the hands).

Waiting for a jeep to Senge

A butterfly landed on Rotems bag after we just walked along a path full of butterflies.

The butterfly stayed on Rotem's bag for a good 10 minutes.

The view from Jegat

Walking to Tal

The path we just walked along.

Will with Tal in the background.

Tea break

Will spilt tea on himself, which Rotem and I found hilarious.

Gas station.

Rotem and Nunder on our walk to Chame.

Tibetan writing on stones all the way along the trek.

Leaving Chame.

This i a Randydandrum our guide tells us, Nepal flower.

All the way along the path mules carry shopping to the mountain villages.

It's a cow.

we really are happy to be walking.

Lower Pisang

Nunder our guide and Rotem counting how many bridges we have crossed so far.

Two boys at our guest house in Lower Pisang. They came out shouting photo, photo!

The day it started to snow.

All three of us with the path to Menang in the background.

Will with the view of the valley and the path to Menang.

Yak Boy!

That is a lake, which was a glacier. It looks super imposed but its not.

Will chilling at the topish of the hill, soaking up the view.

From Menang you have to walk up a big hill to get acclimatised. This is us at the topish of the hill.

This is the valley we walked along for the first 7 days. Picture taken in Menang.

Its a Yak! in Yak Karka.

View from Menang

Goat drinking from tap.

Just on our way to high camp, can't believe the snow!

At the start of the day we walked to the pass and over, 4.30a

On the way to high camp 5am, so far not so bad.

We all made it and this is the pic to prove it.

Rotem and Nunder on the way to high camp, 5am. Still smiling at this point. (pic in wrong order).

Almost at the top.

5416m, at last and never again.

I took both Will's sticks becuase i kept falling and he didn't mind, really, he preferred sliding.

Just wondering was it all worth it?

The view on the way down from the pass.

Too tired to walk, so i decided to slide. It was a little painful due to bumping into hidden rocks but much faster.

Muktinath, 11 hours later.

The last brindge before Muktinath

The view from Muktinath, Mustang Valley.

Muktinath, the morning after we came down the mountain, we are waiting to get a jeep to the hot springs. Notice the covered eyes and faces, that sun burn.

Will's sunburnt face after trekking.
